It is easy to recognize the multitude of problems facing the world’s aquatic environments but it is just as easy to realize the opportunities we have to get involved and contribute to finding solutions. By supporting Project AWARE

you are already part of the solution.

1)

Become a Project AWARE Foundation (International) Official Partner and commit to responsible business
practices by following Project AWARE Go ECO-operator guidelines. To apply for the Official Partner

box (UK only) and Official Partner decal. Please email info@projectaware.org.uk

2)

Promote the Project AWARE version of the certification cards to your students; you can see the special
editions available by visiting www.projectaware.org.
3) Offer and promote environmental specialty courses as part of your dive education programmes (e.g.
Project AWARE Specialty Programme, Fish Identification and Coral Reef Conservation Specialty courses).
4) Provide dive experiences to enhance diver awareness, appreciation and understanding of the local
aquatic environment. Promote the PADI Discover Local Diving Programme.
5) Organize and conduct environmental activities. Take part in the International Beach & Underwater
Cleanup Day and / or Dive In to Earth Day.
6) Take part in the Annual Underwater Photo Competition organized in co-operation with SportDIVER
magazine.

9) Commit to responsible diving practices. Be a role model and follow the 10 Ways a Diver can protect the
Underwater Environment.
